A Voice for the Community

For Shaun, there are never any strangers, just opportunities for making new friends. Every person has their own story, and sometimes all it takes is the right person to listen and the right person to share it. Shaun is always there to lend an ear and a voice, no matter if you are a local or from abroad.

Being the oldest of six siblings, Shaun is a natural leader. He has excelled by using this skill in his everyday life. As a young boy, he dreamed of becoming a math teacher. While that was not in the cards, he instead still contributed to the education of Saba’s youth by volunteering as a mentor to young adults. He has helped them to navigate the uncertainty of teenage years while working towards their life goals. Shaun has never shied away from hard work, and has strived to teach this trait not only to the young adults he mentored, but also to his four children.

Shaun has a great love of sports and advocates for a healthy lifestyle. He is a regular participant in various sporting events here on the island, like the Hell's Gate Triathlon and the Bizzy Bee 5k run. Shaun is an avid hiker and hunter and has a story to go along with every trail.

As a spiritual man, as an active member of the Catholic community and as a local man with a love for his island, Shaun is passionate about ensuring that the traditions and beliefs that make Saba its authentic self, is preserved as it continues to grow and develop. As a hard worker and leader, he has the drive and commitment to meet this challenge head on.
