Bruce Zagers (41) was born and raised on Saba. He is married to Tracy and has two children, Kristin and Nicholas. Being a son of the soil, he has a great appreciation for his island, its nature, the community and is known as someone who is very passionate about his family. Bruce attended Flagler College and has a bachelors degree in Accounting.

Since graduating in 2003, he has been involved in public service. In 2007 he became active in politics and has served as a Commissioner since. He has become a steady presence in government and because of his work ethic and his honest and practical approach of governing, he has been able to accomplish great things for his island. He looks forward to being in a position to further influence the sustainable growth and the physical and social development of his island. Because of his friendly demeanor, Bruce has developed personal relationships with several high profile political and professional persons in the Netherlands which has been instrumental in the progress that Saba has experienced during the last years.
